When people imagine animal best friends, cats, dogs or birds are often the first to come to mind, but that best friend is a donkey for Damaris’s three-year-old son Gunnar. When Snickers first arrived at their home, the connection between Gunnar and the animal was immediate and mutual. Every day, Gunnar would rush to the fence to give Snickers pets, and Snickers would follow Gunnar wherever he went. Such a heartwarming connection.
