Speech-language pathologist Christina Hunger made a soundboard for her dog Stella to learn how to talk. Several rows of buttons say different things when pressed, such as “eat,” “want,” “come,” “outside,” “play,” and more. The Catahoula Blue Heeler Mix can use the device to string words together to communicate what she needs or wants. Over time Stella has mastered the tool.
