In the late 1960s, music was breaking down barriers. With so many evolving styles and limits pushed, this was a great time period. Lou Rawls’ performance on Yesterday on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1967 is great to see. With so much smoothness and passion in his voice, this performance is truly captivating. They simply just don’t make music like this anymore.
