When most people think of “America’s favorite pastime,” they imagine the crunch of crackerjacks, the smell of hot dogs and the crack of the baseball hitting the bat. But for some Americans, the most important tradition is “The Star-Spangled Banner.” And in Surprise, Arizona, they did not want to skip on this patriotic tradition. Instead, they took things further by having one of their police officers step up to the microphone.
