A rescued horse, Champagne, that arrived at Starry Skies Equine Rescue and Sanctuary at Ann Arbor, MI, had trouble opening up to people. The poor animal lived a life of neglect and cruelty and had scars on her hind legs. She was not taken care of and had physical challenges. However, with the help of Remi, a playful puppy, and the volunteers at the sanctuary, the horse soon started to open up. She was adopted by a loving family.
